Gabriel Xará, a software engineer based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, spends his days at a large fintech company. However, his true passion lies in his side project, NodeLand, a platform that transforms notes into interactive mind maps.
The concept for NodeLand emerged during Gabriel’s high school years when he noticed that some classmates excelled in exams with seemingly less effort. Despite his long hours of studying, his results were average. His curiosity led him to explore cognitive psychology, where he learned about the brain's potential and the impact of effective learning techniques.
Blending his engineering background with his interest in education, Gabriel developed NodeLand to help others visualize and connect ideas naturally. NodeLand combines the flexibility of mind maps with the functionality of notes, offering an interactive way to organize thoughts.
Launched in January 2024, NodeLand quickly gained recognition, especially after being featured as the #2 Product of the Day on Product Hunt. Through strategic partnerships and community feedback, Gabriel refined the platform to enhance learning efficiency.
In 2024, NodeLand generated $8,000 in revenue, primarily from lifetime deals. Looking ahead, Gabriel plans to expand its reach through affiliate programs and a more robust online presence.
