Transparency in business with your customer.

I have always been a person where I share my feelings and thoughts. I think its important to share that in any situation. Personal life and in business.

I believe that transparency builds trust with your customer. Because you are open about things that a traditional company ISNT open about. Look at Buffer - Their transparency is so... transparent, they share every employee's salary with the public, and internal teams.

They even shared emails with each other, and the public. But, is there at all a line to this that the company should draw with their customer? Is there at a point where there is TOO much transparency to break that trust?

What is your stance on this, and do you feel the more the better? Do you feel there is a line one should draw in regards to how much transparency the company should have?

No, I don't believe that there is such a thing as too much transparency. If a company is willing to open themselves up then more power too them.

I'm a big advocate of (and contributor to) open source software, and that has guided my philosophy in pretty much everything, from business to politics.

A customer should have as much information as possible, to ensure that they are fully aware of what they will be receiving for their hard earned money.
