hi folks, what are you using nowadays instead of Trello? or is that still to-go task managing tool?
Any Trello users who made the switch to Notion? I'd love to hear what made you switch.
I'm a heavy Trello user but keep hearing good things about Notion... :)
For me it depends what you use it for. I use Trello heavily for tracking progress on tasks - it's my pipeline of things to do and stuff I can look back on. I tried to switch to Notion for this because it does have a kanban feature. But switched back after a few days because Trello is just so much quicker - to create, add, edit. That said, I do use Notion but more like I used Evernote - ie longer term storage and notes.
Notion is the future 💯 I love this application and community :)
Just started testing with Notion. Will let you know... so far it feels good to use it.
Because, notes, google doc, google keep, trello, .... it's all too much.
But I anticipate that it's going to be hard to switch everyone to Notion. It has to be a mass adoption just like with Slack.
I recently made the switch from Trello to Notion It has been Great so far Why? Because notion has flexible UI, that I am able to keep track of different projects at once and their boilerplate templates are so much better than Trello.

We just started using Notion and find it very versatile and productive. Mainly we enjoy that you can write drafts to blog posts etc with text formatting.
I never was a heavy Trello user. So then I discovered Notion I don't look back to Trello.
I doubt that advanced Trello users will switch to Notion.
What do you think is stopping them — the power-ups?
In Trello, you have power-ups, cool and simple design, good integration with other tools, and more.
In my eyes Notion is a swiss army knife. Trello is like a chief knife for chicken and only that. I don't see a benefit to switch to Notion and use only for kanban feature. So if you don't plan to migrate a bigger part of your workflow to Notion. I will consider other tools.
I use Notion. My workflow builds around Notion. I'm very happy and productive. But trying to be real.

I switched to Quire. I switched mainly because Trello is too expensive... Quire is free, has great features, also has the Kanban board, syncs offline, has night mode.... and so on. They're like the free version of Trello
Still recommend Zenkit, it is all that you have mentioned plus more and all free no adds no powerups no messy menus. Super easy and clean.
Restyaboard, an alternative to Trello, that has the same Kanban features, as well as other views such as a to-do list and mind map. Just as easy to navigate, and worth checking out for anyone looking for a substitute.

Im testing out Coda. Similar to notion. I LOVE their templates, but am not a fan of the per user pricing.
100% Zenkit is the best free alt. Disturbingly overpowered for as clean and empty the platform appears to be upon first starting. For free it has features you pay for on other platforms (and no annoying ads or plugs). I don't even know if they have a paid version lol. I use zenkits client fillable forms, custom data fields, all the views, two way Google cal instant sync, file uploads, share an entry feature that doesn't require the viewer to create an account. Integrated with zap and actually works. I'm sure there is some kind of file limit per board but unlimited boards so if one runs out of space make another and keep going. I have tried every free alternative to get the features I need. Zenkits support team is mid responsive could be better. If I had to point out one flaw is that if you delete an appointment in Google cal, it sync deletes Zenkit entry instead of just clearing the appointment. 5 stars, would suggest it to any lay person as the hardcore features are so well developed I think anyone could use it and not even know how difficult these features can be with other platforms. PS. I know this is a resounding review but I spent months putting my info into each new program and figuring it out and integrating it just to find it didn't do what I needed or one of the features were paid to use. When I finally landed on Zenkit I felt relieved.
Well I was hopeful that I would really help someone out here but everyone seems to have ignored my big long review lol I will keep it simple, Zenkit is the best free better than the Trello you are using and better than the others mentioned this far.
Agree with many here: Notion! I'm a pro (ambassador), so let me know if you need any help.
There's also a large and kind community on Reddit, Slack and Discord :)
Way back when I purchased ora.pm from AppSumo. It's a funky tool/alternative. The Notion seems sufficient as well.
I have seen good things about clickup.com but have not used it yet.
Let me ask you, how many projects do you work on simultaneously?
Nothing beats Trello in its simplicity.
And Trello's Achilles heel is that same crayon-like simplicity.
I'm sure some users need more complex tools. But it can accomplish a lot with a very low learning curve.
Asana!
