Trello Reminders
Hi all, I finally started working on my project recently and I would love a review on my landing page, as well as the concept. Any suggestions are welcome. The goal is to test my idea and see if it is a viable one.
www.trelloreminders.com
Thanks @stoico and @francopetra for all the feedback. I reworked the landing page to look like this:
https://www.trelloreminders.com/
Is it better? worse? what would you change?
I think it's better overall, only thing I would only add is a trello screenshot or the trello logo somewhere, just to make sure that the user knows at a glance what you're talking about.
Also instead of the black background try using Trello's blue: #F8F9F9
How is the validation going? Getting any sign-ups? :)
Ok, Thanks. I will make the changes suggested.
As for the validation, it is proving harder than I thought to make a go/no go decision.
I have some data but dont know how to use it, :)
Here are some data so far:
So what do you think? Go? No Go?
Hard to say. I would get some qualitative data as well. Talk to those 10 users as much as possible.
SOME THEORY: Assuming that the 10 users who signed-up would all become paying users, they would have to be your customers for at least 14 months just to make up for the cost of acquiring them ($13.1). Right now acquiring a user costs you $13.1, if you charge $0.99/month, you make 0.99*14months = $13.68/user ($13 in a bit more than a year). That's without the costs of running the service and without paying yourself (or developers). You need to bet on whether your customers will be customers for more than 14 months on average. 14 months seem like a long time to me.
Maybe if you triple the price? So that you'd only need 4.6months to make up the acquisition costs?
Try running an ad and having a price of $2.99, see how many still signups. If it's still 10/99 that means your users are price insensitive and you can charge a lot more and have more chances of making the service work because you take on less risk.
Congrats on starting!
That said I think the page is good enough to convey the message.
How are you going to measure whether the idea is a viable one? Are you just going to look at the conversion rate of the page?
Thanks for the feedback, I really do appreciate it.
Again, thanks for the feedback.
I like the question. It's immediately clear you what you do.
I just don't like how the answer to your question is a list of features.
Imagine you're talking to a friend and you tell him:
And he would be like:
And to that you say:
???
It's not a natural conversation 😄.
Maybe in between, after the question and before the list of features, add: "Trello Reminders lets you:" and then list the features.
Yeah, you're right about that. It doesn't seem like a natural conversation. I updated the landing page to include your feedback. I guess it sounded natural in my head :)
Good that you're starting!
It sounds like an interesting idea. Doesn't Trello have notifications for the calendar add-on? I enabled it but haven't set any card to really know how it works.
I think the pic on the landing page is too shady. It's good to have contrast, but it's too much and feels a little weird to me (maybe biased here).
Hope that helps, good luck with the project!
Also, I tried the calendar add-on and didn't get any notifications/reminders. Maybe if I sync it with my calendar feed?
I have no idea. But I would expect that if they have the calendar feature is can be synced.
Probably for pro users.
It does look better. As @stoico said, it does the work but can be improved. Keep the good work!
I just changed the pic. Does it look better?
