I'm interested in watching slow-and-steady growth of virtual reality and virtual worlds. Apple is reportedly launching a mixed reality headset in 2023, and if this does indeed happen, it will be interesting to see its reception.

AI has the potential to improve efficiency and speed in many industries and has the potential to lead to new discoveries and innovations.
I think could add Web3 to 2023 trends too.
Web3 I guess still needs a bit more time as it's new, but it's growing rapidly. The major hurdle for web3 is going to be shifting from web2.
I'm looking for the trend continue and will increase that everybody wants to build an other SaaS business, so it's also an opportunity to build something useful for the indiehacker community. :)
Another major problem i see in saas business is that there are tons of products are getting released. but the one main big question that everyone wants an answer is that "how to market and get sales"
Many good saas I've seen in the past few years closed down due to a lack of design, marketing, and sales knowledge
People tend to think that you only have to build the product and harvest the revenue based on hyped YouTube channels, but business is business, no matter if its an enterprise, an e-commerce or a so called micro SaaS. Actually I love it because of the complexity. If somebody doesn't enjoy the journey, just want the end result, I think that's what you described, will fail over time.

Flutterflow is great. BTW since you are a solo founder and working on mobile apps. How are you monetizing your apps? via ads or a subscription model?
Currently I run no ads or subscriptions, because I think, getting users and growing will be easier without that. If it's successful I will think about Ads or Cooperations with Companies who are interested in the users of my app.
FYI: it's a side project and I don't necessarily need the money.

I think although not a trend, since it's relatively hard to set up, there's going to be a lot of opportunity in AI as a service providing AIs for people making AI apps, since that seems to be a burgeoning market right now.
I'm actually working on one called Evoke.
We mainly host open source AI models on the cloud and offer access to them via API so programmers can more easily develop AI apps without managing complex cloud infra.
Yes, AI apps are going to be trending soon.

I think because the economy is getting worse we will hear more about solutions for saving money etc. I totally agree with the quiet adoption of dApps covered by low prices of crypto.
