Trick to Writing a Daily Newsletter: Batch Write

Two weeks ago, I started a daily newsletter. Each day delivered to your inbox a tip on how to use Google Sheets Better. I'll be honest: it's an advert for Better Sheets But it's free. and it's useful.

Everyone uses Google Sheets. Now make better sheets.

I've had experience writing a newsletter, or so I though. I had done 125 issues of Influence Weekly. That's over 2 years, without missing a week.

And now I embarked on writing a daily. 5x the work.

Or is it?

My newsletter, for Better Sheets, isn't predicated on the news. Doesn't need anything other thank my own Google Sheets knowledge.

So I write 5 emails at a time.
Actually this week, today, I wrote 10.

So I'm done for the next 2 weeks.

Not really. Going to go work on marketing and partnerships and customer support and well making the tutorials better.

Batch writing has allowed me to focus on this for 2 hours a week. And not have to write 1 email a day.

It also lets me play with the format. Last week I wrote 5 within a series. All about building better dashboards. Each day was a new principle to better dashboards.

At this pace I might actually start to do 7 per week.

Nice! Have you tried Substack vs. other platforms like Revue?

      Open to suggestions.
I've used Mailchimp for 2 years. and actually used Substack before this newsletter. Now this newsletter (bettersheets) is 100% substack.
I have looked into Revue. AFAIK: For this project, it won't work because it's not curated articles. As far as I can tell revue is perfect for curating and summarizing articles.
