True creative freedom is taking risks regardless of the outcome

As a beginner, you have the luxury of being able to experiment and take risks without any consequences. However, as you progress and your business grows, you'll find yourself with more responsibilities and a greater sense of accountability.

While this may limit your freedom to some extent, it also means that you have something to protect and a team that is counting on you. Despite the challenges, the ability to have full creative control, regardless of the outcome, I'm sure it's something all of us has wished for at least once.

It's funny because when you're an employee it's easy to say I'd create this and I'd build that if I worked for myself but when you do work for yourself it's all about being careful and not being too risky. When you're the one paying the bills, the safe route seems much well, safer, haha. The irony is, as you point out. You have to take risks. Those who made it big were the biggest risk-takers of all. Yep! And if you can do that with someone else's time/money then even better. But it's true that often you have to be less risk-averse if you have funding/investment etc. So, really true creative freedom comes from being bootstrapped.
