“Try” is the word your brain uses right before it quits.

How many times have you said something like…

“I’ll try to hit my targets.”
“I’ll try to start the side project.”
“I’ll try to make the meeting.”

Harmless, right?

Not quite.

“Try” is the psychological equivalent of leaving the back door open. It feels like commitment, but it gives you permission to fail without consequence.

Now, here’s a story most people don’t know:

A young filmmaker once said to George Lucas, “I’ll try to finish my short film.”

Lucas didn’t flinch.

He cut him off and said, “Don’t try. Just finish it.”

That moment became six of the most iconic words in film history:

“Do. Or do not. There is no try.”

This wasn’t just a line for Jedi.

It was a mindset that helped Lucas build an empire.

Because language isn’t passive. It programs action.

Say “I’ll try,” and your brain prepares for retreat.

Say “I will,” and it starts looking for solutions.

If you’re leading a team, building a business, or pushing toward a personal goal…

The shift starts in how you speak.

Swap hesitation for decision.
Speak as if it’s already done.
Build the world your words describe.

What word is holding you back?

We didn't think of it yet, crowdfunding might be a distraction for us as we focus on building a better product for users and distribution :)
