Trying out e-commerce for the first time
I recently decided to dive into the world of e-commerce. I decided to create my own merchandise store for developers and people in tech. I am selling some really cool and unique t-shirts, coffee mugs and posters at https://developermerch.com
Over the next few months I will be monitoring my store and how well it performs during a pandemic.
Let me know what you guys think of the designs :)
Have you sold any product?
Unfortunately not :/ Maybe my ad copy needs some attention, or corona is messing with my store...
How are you promoting your site?
I tried Facebook advertising for 3 products at $5 budget per product, for 5 days, and no sales, but I did at least get website visitors. I'm also trying to build up some organic traffic by posting to my Instagram account every day, but so far the posts have not been getting much attention :/
Are you a member of any small developer communities?
Do you run a newsletter?
Do you do any webinars?
I could see any of these places being helpful for promoting stuff.
Building ig Reputation can take a lot of time, but a filled account will be nice later on.
