Tuesday Stand Up: What will you accomplish today?

By the end of October, I'd like both the IH community and content to grow consistently from month to month. Currently, it's not uncommon to have down months.

Yesterday, I updated the daily community digest email to include posts from people you follow. Now there's a reward to gaining followers: more people will see your posts! We'll see if it works. If so, the second-order effect will be people coming back to post more often as they build up followers. That'll take many months to happen, however.

Today I'm working on redesigning the homepage. Mostly, it just feels stupid that we don't advertise our latest content in the sidebar. But I also think the navigation is confusing, and the milestones should be more distinct from the forum.

The rest of the month will be back to business - lots of little things I want to work on in the product. And then I'm going to start looking into hiring a virtual assistant.

Yesterday worked on the file database, had some problems getting debugging to work against Catalina and now finally am pulling in all processes running instead of just the current user processes.

Today, yep still working on the database. Added the user for wich each process is running in the GUI.

Fixed some reviews on my website www.prisimanimations.com.
I'm trying to get better with the SEO of my website, it's not going amazing at the moment :P

What will you accomplish by end of October?
I want to finish the UI rework on ServerMonitor and collect some emails trough my new landing page.

What did you do yesterday to work toward your goal?
I did a lot of testing on how to arrange certain parts of the website and learned a lot about how to create landing pages wit CTA.

What will you do today?
I already worked a lot on the UI and deployed the first version of the newly designed website.

Looks like NADA for me today, unless I can rustle up some drive after this day on site with the new contract.

Does launching count? Finally got thegoodstartup.com up and going last night and sent the official launch email this morning!!

Yesterday:

• launched a new version on the iOS as well as a new level: coffee logos!
• I attempted my first pass at an android build for the logo game. Fail :(
  Today: Going to try again on the android build

October: Complete the API for MySocialHike (https://mysocialhike.com) and release it on PH.

Yesterday: I sent the first email for the beta users of MySocialHike.

Today: Yesterday I had to do some manual data update to send the email. So today I'll try to automate these tasks.

Get Announcr into Demo Release

Yesterday
I created some more placeholder stories for features I want to be complete this month. Instead of a task breakout, I created capabilities descriptions like this: "Business can send a message to all customers". This means I will need to unpack these stories into smaller stories later, which is OK.

Today
I created a new iOS build of Announcr. I'll use it and make notes of bugs and things I don't like. Look for ways to simplify the UI, with an eye towards being able to demo the app in person after this month.
