Tuesday Stand Up: What will you accomplish today?

What will you accomplish by end of October?

What did you do yesterday to work toward your goal?

What will you do today?

  1. 4

Today is sales. Sales sales sales. Goal: call or email 100 people and make at least 1 sale.

    1. 1

Good luck and remember to actively listen to the customer. Always fall back on "why" on whatever they say to understand their motives.

    2. 1

Good luck! Report back. I'm always curious how people can call 100 people in a single day and cold call. That just seems so exhausting.

  2. 3

Soft launch MySocialHike( new MondayMetrics) by end of October.

Today: I am changing domain name for MySocialHike to https://mondaymetrics.com MondayMetrics
It will take this week to complete the migration.

  3. 2

A bit late to the party, but:

    Today:

    • Thought about my value proposition
    • Did some market research to validate some parts of my idea

    Yesterday:

    • Redesigned parts of my site
    • Did some rebranding and designed a new logo
    • Came up with a tagline

    By the end of October:

    • Hopefully I'll have a barebones MVP working
    • Will demo/pitch it to someone just to see their reaction
    1. 1

Hi @klintmane! What are you building your MVP in? How are you planning on doing some validation?

      1. 1

Hey Davey, thanks for reaching out.

If by 'what' you mean stack, then it's mostly JS-based except some Python here and there (AI stuff).

Not really set on a validation strategy but coming up with a Lean Canvas really helped pin down the important aspects and give some clarity.

  8. 1

Yesterday I got back from my vacation and did nothing!

Today I'm meeting Isa Adney from ConvertKit, who's flying all the way up from San Diego to interview me and write up a piece 😬 I also need to write a job description for the new developer position we'll be hiring for, and write up a report for my end-of-Q3 meeting with Patrick.

    1. 1

Welcome back! How was your vacation?

      1. 4

Great! It wasn't exactly relaxing (I went camping), but it was a lot of fun.

        1. 1

Camping can be super relaxing... but usually for the people who are.. relaxing. I'm an Eagle Scout, so except for late night fire time AFTER the singing of many songs, my camping times are spent cooking and doing various camp-craft tasks/activities. Camping is an ACTION verb hehe

  9. 1

Yesterday: updated the logo game on android and iOS based on the feedback I got from indie hackers
Today: submitted new versions for review. Also, I’m working on a new blog template so I can start writing blog posts

  10. 1

By EoM we will have our startup management blog launched and our first case study operational.

Yesterday was focused on web hosting and analytics troubleshooting.

Today, I hope to carve out some time for content review.
