Tuesday Standup

What will you accomplish by end of July?

What did you do yesterday to work toward your goal?

What will you do today?

My July goal is to launch jobhuntbuddy.co on Product Hunt.

Yesterday I sent out early invites to everyone that signed up for the pre-launch newsletter. Hoping to more beta testers to give feedback and spot bugs before doing a big launch.

Today, I'm continuing the search for beta testers

My July goal for myfancyapp.com, is to release two more landing page templates, optimized for iOS app developers.

Yesterday I started working on connecting custom domains to the generated landing page.

Today I'll focus on the UX design of custom domains feature.

My main aim for the end of July is to clear my client work so I can get back to working on a new feature for downtimemonkey.com - detailed logs of downtimes possibly with downloadable reports.

Yesterday I started on the client work - updates to an academic site on mainstreaming green infrastructure. I didn't do a huge amount but getting organised to start these things is the hardest bit for me. I set up the development environment and started into the front-end changes. Today I am continuing with this.

    07/21 Update: $2,603 in sales, $796 MRR

Had a big sales day yesterday! Four new sign-ups, bringing the newsletter to the edge of $800 MRR. Super excited to hit the $833MRR/$10KARR milestone in the next few days!

Yesterday I ended up having less time than I expected, and I was only able to get done with the most important of my tasks. Still, I got a lot done.

    Today's goals:

    • Research and write Idea #3
    • Create a list of all CoderNotes.io expenses, so I know what I can cut
    • Fix my email automation chain to be a bit more engaging to users

I don't have a ton of time today, so this seems like a good set of goals for today.

My first batch of IH comments. Went through the (last 2/3 days of) Ideas and Validation group and comment on the ones that I could. About half were too vague or outside of my realm -- I didn't want to post meaningless comments.

Hey, thanks for that. I definitely appreciate it as I can't do it all myself 😅

One of the challenges we have with some newer people are posts that are just too vague. In an ideal world I would nudge them all to encourage them to provide more context/info. I honestly think people don't see that they aren't providing enough information to allow people to help them.

Hah, no worries. Just learning the ropes around here. :)
