Preferably a thousand times. That's our latest growth strategy.
Ahead for your better understanding of the text: We're building a SaaS for Async Video Meetings.
You know this. You're working on your software, you make a few posts on Angellist for an SEO specialist, for a flutter developer... What happens? You get dozens or even hundreds of emails from software houses and digital marketers.
Well, what do you usually do with them? You ignore them because it's just too much. But then suddenly the idea came to us.....
Wait a minute, all these people want nothing more than to have a video call with us. And they're all our target audience. Why don't we turn the tables? So our simple strategy is, "Great to hear from you. We're happy to do a call with you, however, we'll only do it async. Please sign up on timz.flowers and send me an invite, then you can talk to the Founders."
Since doing that, our onboarding flows, as if by magic.
But it's not just a trick. We actually learn how well async video meetings work. It's fascinating how the text deserts of the emails suddenly turn into enchanting faces, the people behind them emerging with their beautiful personalities.
If we would do a classic video call, we would have to spend 12 times the time for the meetings (3 Founder + 1 Supplier x 15 minutes = 1 hour), whereas in a Flower we only need 5 minutes to get to the point.
You can think about every answer before you give it. That's why the quality of the answers increases dramatically and you also relax, no pressure anymore to answer immediately. You are not forced to answer ad hoc. With that the efficiency of the meetings increases enormously.
But also the effectiveness increases. If the conversation goes well, it immediately turns into extremely precise brainstorming with very good results and you immediately notice if the collaboration is fruitful.
Furthermore, we simply invite specialists to the Flower spontaneously, if the topic develops accordingly. The team practically forms itself. You don't need a briefing, no kickoff, everything has already happened.
Now, these aspects of our Growth Strategy cannot be transferred to every product. But the suggestion to turn the tables could also work for other products, couldn't it? What would that look like for your product? Tell me! I'm happy to give tips or brainstorm with you. By the way, I would also like to do it in a flower.
I think this is a great product idea Sam. Congrats on this! Also, love the user acquisition tactic.
Do you have any competitors for this?
It seems like you have created a hybrid between a mindmap tool like Coggle and a video recording tool like Loom.
Hi @Badis_Khalfallah thank you for your answer and the time you spent researching the product and sorry for the delayed answer. There are some "competitors" also following the idea of async video communication. But everybody is just starting and I think this market will get huge as it makes absolute sense to avoid scheduling and make as much as possible async. Now the question is, how has the most valuable solution. Loom is also bit like timz.flowers but different. Our USP is perhaps that we can really navigate complex topics and discussions. I haven't seen anybody else doing this. What are you doing @Badis_Khalfallah?
Yeah, I really think this could be a great idea. I think you could have a market with people running online workshops & sprints. Can be really helpful for education, workshops, brainstorms in groups.
I am building this: http://join-implement.com/ Good luck on your venture! :)
