Turning burnout into a side-project

Hello πŸ‘‹

My name is Philip, and I'm currently working on an Ios app called tinyflow. It helps people build mindful habits with daily exercises and reflections.

It's a personal passion project for me because, unfortunately, I experienced burnout in 2020 with stress and anxiety.
The way I got out of it was with mindfulness habit building. It helped me build good habits and break the bad ones. Now I want to share the techniques in a simple, useful app.

I just released a product hunt ship βš“οΈ, and tinyflow will be built solely with the No-code tool Kodika.

It's my first real try to become an Indiehacker and building in public. It is a bit scary but also exciting. 🀩

Hi Philip, I really wish you the best with this - we definitely all need something to help reduce the stress, anxiety and everything else that goes with being indie builders and entrepreneurs.

But am I the only one who is concerned by yet another app sending me daily notifications via my mobile screen informing me to be mindful is... not very mindful.

      Hi Steve.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I totally see your point and it's something I constantly consider when I'm designing the idea.

Personally, I think, it's not what we use but how we relate to the actions, technologies, happenings, etc.

The idea is to use the app in the morning as a daily starter and an afternoon reflection, So it's not an app that you will be checking and be "hooked" on, but more a place where you learn and reflect.

Do you think that would work?

      Cheers

hey Philip, great, yes that makes sense. It is a fine balance to be useful and not "hook" your users. I am sure you will find the right balance.
