Tweeted something random, went viral!
Wanted to share a small story and possibly see if there anything to be learned from it.
Two days ago I posted a random tweet and went to bed. No grand plan. No promoting my product. Just a random tweet.
This morning it has 1.2K likes, got three new $50/mo customers and 500 new followers. Well, for my standards at least, that's viral.
My previous tweet had two likes and one comment. By my girlfriend :P
Of course I know it's luck. Of course I can't take credit for it. Of course I know it's not a reliable and reproducible way to grow your startup.
But an important fact is that I tweeted because I have a daily habit of tweeting once every day. Whatever happens, tweet one thing per day.
I had no idea what to tweet, so,I just tweeted something that happened the previous day. "Got my first $50/mo customer"
Just like with most products and ideas, we really have no idea what will click and what will take off. The world is just too complex and dynamic.
So, my interpretation of this is just focus on putting stuff out there, and who knows, maybe some will click!

The blogging platform is just a very simple way to add markdown posts to your site, nothing fancy, but should be easy to integrate it into existing PHP sites and very easy to create and version content.
