Twitleague

I'm about a year into learning web development. Working on my first web app to go on a resume. If something else comes out of it, then great.
The web app is called twitleague and is a twitter clone, but for recreational sports leagues/teams (think local little league baseball or football teams all the way to professional leagues/teams):

Let me know if what you think and if you would like to help on this project.

Like your idea..this can be huge in India f you push the sport of Cricket. Also, I would strongly suggest that you change the design from looking so close to twitter. A more unique look would do wonders.

Thanks for telling me about the indian market. I'll need to figure out how to support multiple languages.

You're right about the design being so close to twitter. I'd probably see some lawsuits if this took off

I signed up but don't see you have cricket in the sports list. Please add it so I can create some leagues.

Hey! I added cricket as an option to select when creating a league. Still lots of work left to do with this app though

OK. very good. I will follow your progress

I will definitely do that. Please note that this is in development still so there will be tons of bugs

            I understand

English is fine for starters since most indians can understand english. Yes twitter may come ofter you. Fastest way to do that is to change colors and icons and button text which are the same as theirs.

Why would potential users not just share on Twitter, since everyone is already there?

The main features of twitter are going to be there, but what makes twitleague different will be:
The ability to create a sports league
The ability to create a sports team within that league
Scout players (little timmy on his t-ball team all the way to Alvin Kamara on Saints)
Build rosters and depth chart (for coaches)
Stat tracking (will be most difficult since there are tons of sports)
      Schedule events (for parents mainly)

With covid and everything, there will need to be communication and conversation in order for these youth leagues to play safely

I like the idea of a niche Twitter, I could see some people being interested in using something like that to build up a community.

I can't see past the login screen and don't really want to sign up.

That's good feedback. I have it where the team pages are accessible without needing to signup:

Your idea is really good. I suggest not to copy twitter at all and design something basic first and then improve as you go.

Thanks, yeah I need to change up my UI
