Twitter Ads buying experience

Not the greatest experience. I had to enter my credit card 2 times, and my address 3 times.
I also had a bad experience with Twitter ads, the algorithm can target totally random even if I give it proper keywords. Wanted to give a try to Facebook because it's much better overall with the algorithm.
Since I'm working on a few things and one of them was newsletter, I tried to run with https://refind.com/. And it is far better.
I know that somebody wrote recently that they had success only with keyword ads on Twitter, but still, it didn't work for me even after a couple of tries. The entire platform feels weird how it works with ads, doesn't look like it's priority for a Twitter.
Thanks Gagi. Yeah it is a weird experience but I'll see how it is goes with them.
I'll also checkout refind.com - how would you evaluate their performance/price? Can you start small and see what happens or do you need to put big bucks out to evaluate it?
Depends on what you are using it, I was using it to gain subscribers to the newsletter. You can set your CPA/CPC. And they allow you to target people by their interests.
I heard about it from the newsletter guy (Matt McGarry), he was saying that with Hustle they saw a ~60% open rate. But I'm seeing a ~40% open rate for now.
Yes, you can start small, for me it was $150 initially to see how it works, which was ok, since other platforms asked for 2k+ without giving me too much proof that they work.
Thanks Gagi, sounds promising, I'll check it out!
40% sounds still decent in todays age.
Hey Gagi, thank you for the info. I went through your newsletter and I have to say, that is some solid work you've put in, well done.
How many subscribers did you gain from refind.com ever since you started. Would you mind sharing the process of how to set it up (I'm trying but it looks like a newsletter platform, sorry newbie here)
What would you say it's the biggest generator of subscribers for you is?
Thanks again and keep up the good work
Yeah, it can be tricky to set up for other purposes. Not sure if they want to promote other content.
You can reach out to this guy https://twitter.com/jonaskamber and ask him.
They have CPC and CPA in the dashboard, so I guess that they can run ads that generate traffic for your site. Not sure what would be conversion rate for that traffic if that's even possible with them.
I've run it for like $150 and got around 80 subscribers. Now, I'm waiting for some time to see that that open rate is gonna persist and that these are subscribers I really want. And if everything works out, I will double on it with $500-$1k per month.
Trying to crack the organic growth too, since it's more sustainable, but it's tricky. Mostly engaging on Twitter in people comments for now.
Thanks Gagi. I wanted to grow a newsletter I'm about to launch and I was looking for ways to do that before launching. I'll contact the guy (thanks).
