Twitter locked my 100% educational account
Hey everyone. I'm kind of at a loss for what to do. For the past three years, I've used Twitter pretty much exclusively to share educational content related to the Elixir programming language and they've locked my account.
I've never posted anything even close to politics, religion or any divisive issues on it. I've never even had an argument on it. I've never used any bots with it or any kind of tweet scheduling tool. I've just been sharing educational content.
Support sent me a cryptic message saying the account "has been flagged for unusual behavior that violates the Twitter Rules" and hasn't answered my follow-up.
Is there anything I can to to fix this?
Any Twitter experts like @dvassallo or @mubashariqbal have experience with this kind of thing?

Have you been doing anything funky with dms/favorites/etc? Use any automation/scripting? I think Twitter runs a bunch of abuse detection algorithms and you may have been caught in a false positive.
Nope. No automation at all and I mostly just favorite stuff related with Elixir and development.
🎉 Hooray! The account is unlocked again.
Lesson learned: don't invest too much into any one social network. Months or years of work building up a profile can be undone by a capricious choice of a single employee in California or even just a poorly trained spam / bot classifier
Maybe it's false positive?
