Twitter? I was not that person who posts their feelings throughout the day for likes. That is how I thought about Twitter. Then I had a change of mind and heart. Yes, there is still a lot of noise, however, if you find the right community you might think differently. The tech community embraced me dispite not having any expeirence as a coder. The resources are endless. The kind words and motivation I receive from people who I have never me gives me hope. Honestly, the atmosphere is incredible - the authenticty is electric!
The tech community lead me to several individuals who took the time out of their day to talk tech for 30 minutes. I asked questions like, what does the future look like? Is it worth learning how to code? All said the future is bright and recommended that I learn how to code. They recommended Vets Who Code a non-profit where veterans teach veterans how to program and get jobs. Over the next several months I hope to learn through Vets Who Code. More to follow soon.
I am building Web of Veterans (WoV). WoV creates professional opportunities for veterans and their families through the power of networking and professional development. Our aim is to help those transitioning careers. At this point it is imply an idea but idea will only get you so far. I need a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). I have been using a no-code tool, carrd, to establish my initial MVP but could be transitioning to Bubble shorlty. I will check in next week with my progress.
Cheers!
