Two weeks to go fully independent 🙌

I've been waiting for this for a long time. I started my side project around 2.5 years ago. Finally, I'm at a point where I can quit my day job relatively safely, and go full time with my own business. It's going to happen in 2 weeks. I'm so excited!
There were so many ideas that I had to puf off for later. Now, I can review the list and choose what to work on.

Thank you, Indie Hackers, for your inspiration and help! 🙌

I'm curious, how long did you take to get your first purchase after official release?

    1. 2

I was able to get a handful of paying customers even before an official launch. Back then it was possible for Shopify merchants to install an unverified app. First users came from a link I posted in a relevant forum thread. Counting from the moment of posting the link, it took around a month to get a first paying customer.

For now, it's Personal Discount, an e-commerce add-on to enhance email marketing with unique discount codes. I plan to build more Shopify apps.

Congrats Lukasz! How many hours per week do you spend with your side project?

    1. 1

It's varying. Lately, it's been only support, ranging between 2 to 8 hours per week. When developing new features I was able to carve out up to 16 additional hours per week.
