Ugly or nice? Looking for your feedback about the colors of my website - incubatorlist.com

I received a few negative feedbacks about the colors of my side project, Incubator List's homepage when I shared it here recently. My wife hates the colors too, she keeps insisting me to change them. But I like the current design tbh. I would be grateful if you could share your opinion about the colors of the homepage (and its design as well):
A bold color palette like this is actually pretty refreshing to me, but this isn't quite there. There's this creative agency I used to follow, fuzzco, that utilizes a lot of bold color palettes. Maybe check out some of their stuff (https://fuzzco.com/work/positive-energy/, https://fuzzco.com/work/the-kickin-chicken/). I'd encourage you not to bail entirely on a bold treatment, and to just fine-tune to make it easier on the eyes. If you can make it work, it can distinguish you. Some ideas: slightly desaturate that yellow, shift the blue into purple territory, maybe incorporate some iconography, or introduce some texture or gradients.

Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback! I agree with the changes with yellow and shifting blue into purple. Maybe I can switch to another color palette later, but for now, trying to fine-tune it will be better & easier for me. I will make some changes this weekend, and will let you know, to get another round of feedback from you (hope that's ok)

Listen to your wife. My first impression was it looks SPAMMY and I should close the window fast! Find some color palettes online. Maybe put the categories and regions in a drop down so it doesn't take up all that space. Good luck with your project!
Actually I generally work with color palettes, especially from flatuicolors, but this time, as I got bored a bit using stereotype colors, I just wanted to use some interesting colors - these colors are also from color palettes btw, but picked from different palettes.

It's too shiny for me, hurts my eyes. I would prefer simple colors: white/gray background + black text.
