UI/UX and overall feedback on our PKM app, Clibu Notes

Hi, I'm looking for critical feedback on our Note Taking / Personal Knowledge Management app, Clibu Notes. In particular on its look and feel, usability and usefulness.

I'm struggling to get feedback from the people signing up to the preview release. A couple have said the app looks a bit dated. I'm not a designer but have been developing software for some time now and in my biased (blinkered) eyes it looks fine.

Clibu Notes strengths include: Works offline, syncs when online, collaborative editing with wysiwyg + markdown shortcuts, backlinks, fast full text search, works on desktop, tablet and smartphone, export to markdown files etc. It is simpler than similar apps, but very capable.

Would you use it? If not why not?

I'm not looking for feedback on the Web site clibu.com as I'm well aware it needs a professional makeover. As an aside I am looking for help with this and marketing.

The app is at clibu.app which will open the Help which is written in Clibu Notes. Sign up at clibu.com

Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.
