Hi there!
I am based in Singapore and my startup is getting ready for a soft launch in the next month and are hoping to get some feedback on the UIUX of our mobile application.
We are building a consumer-facing mobile application for the fitness and wellness industry. Here's our website: https://vibefam.com.
If this is something that you're experienced with, it would be tremendously helpful if we could connect further - send me an email at: serene@vibefam.com.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated!!
user1.jpg,user2.jpgandlogo.pngused on the page seem to have been resized using HTML or CSS. Serving a server scaled image could save your visitors considerable bandwidth and result in quicker page load times on slower connections. The page however is designed with a good theme and conveys product vision and targets audience well. Good luck!Good catch! Thank you for checking our website out and for the suggestions. Appreciate it :)
hi Serene, check out your landing page test results on Google - https://googlechrome.github.io/lighthouse/viewer/?psiurl=https%3A%2F%2Fvibefam.com%2F&strategy=mobile&category=performance&category=accessibility&category=best-practices&category=seo&category=pwa&utm_source=lh-chrome-ext
There's quite some space for improvement, you can visit this site https://mprify.com to download a free highly optimized template that Google likes for your own usage. Don't miss it and all the best!
Thank you so much for your advice! The test results were extremely helpful :)
Hope you are able to make use of the template and if you need help, feel free to pm me. Cheers!
It seems like you're trying to help exercise professionals develop CrossFit level engagement / communities? If that's the case, you might want to draw some inspiration from their marketing approach & language. This video seems to establish principles, and create an ingroup / outgroup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzD9BkXGJ1M
While you're not actually running a studio that would utilize this marketing directly, the people who are running a studio that are interested in this sort of mindset might also like to be a part of an enthusiastic/energetic community themselves (you would probably benefit from creating a culture for studio owners -- figure out what your 3 principles are and clearly state them for clients to identify with -- and holding events and conferences, creating your own ingroup of "studio leaders").
With regards to the website...
Most of your copy is great, and clearly describes what you're trying to do.
The app screenshots look great, the app is probably going to be very useful. Interested in following your progress!
But, while a screenshot of the app UI is helpful, that belongs a few panels down. Help your customer identify themselves within the first jumbotron -- when I hit your site, I should know that "this is me". A picture of a yoga studio from the back of the class, with the class blurry, and the teacher in focus making it clear that "this is you", "you are the leader of your class", "we'll help you make your class into your tribe / family" might be something to A/B test.
In the navigation bar, "join the fam" is the same size as your other tabs. This is your call to action... this button should be everywhere. Make it a different color in the navigation bar. Put the button in the first jumbotron. Noticing that you're also using "schedule a call" and "let's connect" near the bottom, that's fine! It's okay to have many different things that might grab someone's attention. But I would also repeat "join the fam" again at the bottom as well in a call out, and also in the footer menu. That said, "join the fam" really sounds, to me, more like a "we're hiring" tab (a list of the people who work for your company / about us with your currently open job positions). You might want to say something like "GET ONE MONTH FREE" (6 months seems a bit too long).
"https://vibefam.com/about" -- Sometimes when you don't have content yet, it's best to just omit it. Everything that you've said on this page seems to hint that this really should just be a single landing page website.
"https://vibefam.com/about" -- Clicking the "vibefam" button on the top left doesn't take me to the home page (which is the expected behavior). There is now a "home" button on the top right, but all of the other navigation has disappeared (this should not generally happen). The "about" tab scrolls down to your mission statement, while the "more info" button actually takes me to the "/about" page... you might want to make the tabs consistent with the URL.
"https://vibefam.com/about" -- Under the "how can you get involved" tab is the first time you mention that this app is only for people in Singapore. That should be on the home page in the first jumbotron.
"https://vibefam.com" -- The "learn more button" just scrolls down, but links to "https://vibefam.com#download" ... I was expecting a download. You added this button, I'm guessing, to let users know that they should scroll down. Making the first jumbotron 90vh or putting a dancing down-arrow button on the bottom center also achieves this effect.
"https://vibefam.com" -- In the "Empower your studio" panel, the copy from the about page seems more appropriate: "vibefam aims to connect a network of boutique fitness studios together with their combined student base, forming a community of fitness-enthusiasts. At its core, it is a class scheduling platform that enables students to purchase and book classes, integrated with an entirely new suite of exciting social networking elements. vibefam hopes to enable studios like yourselves to unite your fitness tribes. With vibefam, accelerate the growth of your studio community with our social engagement features." (this needs to be edited down).
Would you be keen to connect further? Would love to share our mobile application with you to hear your feedback. If you're available, it would be lovely if you could drop me your email address and I can follow up from there. Cheers!
Of course! Will send you an email now.
Thank you so much for taking time out to provide such detailed feedback on the website. I really appreciate it! This is all really helpful and definitely details that we have missed out.
It's a clean website @serene_vibefam
It just feel like the website is incomplete. What's the goal for this site?
thank you for that! this website was meant for us to trigger an interest amongst potential businesses to reach out to us. let me know if you'd be keen on checking out our actual community-based mobile app solution - i would love to take some time to walk you through the platform and hear your feedback! :)
The website looks kinda nice, maybe lacks a bit of focus but looks inspiring

@serene_vibefam Look into Balsamiq if you haven't already. Both the resources and the application are very helpful and it's a fellow IH company.
