Hi there everyone,
I was hoping to get some feedback on my graduate job board and would welcome your honest opinions.
I’ve been running my graduate job board now for a couple of years dealing with the common chicken and egg situation. I’ve got a good number of followers on LinkedIn and reasonable following on Twitter too. My current business model allows employers to list their jobs for free or choose a premium model that gives them more job listings and database access.
Because candidates are not organically applying for positions it is the free plan which I am pitching for now. (On average an employer may get 2 or 2 candidates apply for their job)
Some other background methods I use: Mailchimp weekly jobs newsletter, job alerts and social media to push out job posts.
Suggestions on what could make graduates organically apply for jobs on their own back?
Do you think the number of jobs advertised currently is not enough to drive more graduates?
My website is: https://www.ourgraduates.co.uk/
I look forward to hearing from the community.
Thanks!
George
Hi there, not sure if it is appropriate to ask about the annual revenue generated versus the amount you spent on marketing things like Google Ad, Facebook Ad?
Hi there,
Thanks for your message and sorry for the delay in responding. Roughly I've made just over a thousand pounds from direct purchasing online subscriptions made by employers and I'm not always marketing my job board so many times employers will catch wind and make a job post by themselves. I've probably spent less than a hundred pounds on ads you've mentioned. I only tend to use sites where I have a reasonable following like LinkedIn and Twitter. I find these work well for me.
Hope that helps.
George
