Ultra-simple Stripe subscription portal

Hey IH, I'm making a very simple way to get money through Stripe called Bill. I've found it difficult in the past to get set up accepting payments super fast - without having to do any dev work. Is this something you would use? If not, why not?

At this moment it's unclear what exactly your product does. I would add some video or online demo.

So, what I guess it does, you include a link to your site and that's how you charge your customers?

      Like:

"Checkout" -> Customized paywithbill.co shows up "User enter CC" -> I get paid

      Is it something like that?

Yep! When first starting out I was looking for an ultra-simple subscription tool I could integrate vs. building everything out. There are a lot of details to get right and if you don't, poof, lost subscription revenue.

I just don't want to force customers to create a new login (a la Gumroad).

I do think your landing page could be more direct in the product so correct me if I am wrong, but paywithbill.co will give you a branded webpage that allows people to signup/cancel a Stripe subscription. If that is what is happening then I think it could be very useful, I am not sure about other competing services but doing this through the Stripe dashboard is not the same. Your site would be using Stripe.js to tokenize the card while a manual process will require a phone call or worse an email with the payment details.

You may be on to something, and if I got it completely wrong and this is not what you are building then maybe you should? :-) I also am not sure that the target audience for you to determine worth is Indie Hackers. A lot of us are developers and this might be great for even local businesses that have membership programs.

My advice would be to redo the landing page to really drive home what this is and then reach out to a few more places/people, maybe some product demos, to figure out if you have something people want. Good luck!

This could be useful, however, I would never pay $100/m just for a custom domain and payment history. And what if I have more than 100 users?

But why do I need this at at all? Can't I just send an invoice via Stripe?

I guess there is payment history and a little bit of branding.
