When we introduced the remyx model engine in January, we had a gradio demo and numerous technical challenges yet to overcome.

• Our customers are primarily interested in object detection but we had only shown the potential for cheaply generating images for the task of classification.

• We needed to generate WAY more images, and at a lower input resolution to efficiently utilize our training hardware.

• We needed to wrangle a billion-scale image dataset and index it for efficient retrieval so we don't eat it in running the generator!

• We needed to stand up k8s infrastructure, including the details needed to access our data lake and run clusters using GPUs for training.

Having tackled these challenges, we're excited to open our app up to a public beta!
