Quick update on ClaimSite — the tool that generates a live demo site for a local business before you ever contact them.

The original problem it solved: businesses with no website. Generate a demo, send the link, watch reply rates jump from 2% to 25%.

The new problem I just tackled: businesses with a website that's actively hurting them.

There are 10x more businesses with bad websites than no website. I built a scanner that finds them.

What it checks:

• No SSL (still running on http://)

• Not mobile-friendly (no viewport meta tag)

• Slow load time (over 3 seconds)

• No contact form

• No analytics tracking

• Outdated HTML (tables, framesets, bgcolor attributes)

• Meta description missing

• Last modified date — hasn't been touched in years

Each business gets scored 0–100 and graded A through F. The list comes back sorted worst first.

The outreach angle is actually better than the no-website pitch. A business owner with a bad website knows they have a problem. They've just never gotten around to fixing it. When you show up with a replacement already built, it's a much easier conversation than convincing someone they need something they've never had.

The pitch becomes: "We noticed your website is hurting your business — so we built you a better one."
