Update: got real feedback that changed how I'm thinking about my product

A few days ago I shipped my first project — a dashboard that turns Excel sales data into business decisions. Posted here, got a genuinely useful comment thread going about what the "business health score" was missing (churn/retention as its own signal, not just margin/growth/risk).

That one conversation was more valuable than any of the traffic I got elsewhere this week (Reddit, Product Hunt).

Lesson I'm taking from it: the loudest channels (upvotes, impressions) aren't where the useful signal comes from. It comes from someone actually engaging with what you built and pointing at the gap you didn't see.

Currently figuring out how to add churn tracking without overcomplicating the dashboard for people who just want simple numbers. Curious how others here balance "add the feature that was requested" vs. "keep it simple."
