Update on BestFrame!

Hey everyone,

A few months ago I shared BestFrame here, an AI tool to extract the best frames from videos.

Since then, I’ve been heads down improving the product (and learning a lot about what users actually want vs what I thought they wanted 😅).

Today I’m shipping 2 major updates:

🔗 1. Extract frames directly from a video URL

You can now paste a YouTube or Vimeo link and instantly extract the best frames, no upload needed.

This sounds simple, but it completely changes the workflow:

  • No more downloading videos first

  • No more manual trimming

  • Just paste → extract → done

🎯 2. New landing page (and positioning shift)

I also rebuilt the landing page from scratch (https://bestframe.pro/)

BestFrame, Get the perfect frame from any video.

Big change: I stopped trying to explain the tech… and focused on the outcome.

Before:
“AI-powered frame extraction with advanced filtering…”

Now:
“Get the perfect frame from any video.”

Much clearer, much more direct.

Also added:

  • URL-based extraction front and center

  • Simpler UX (one input = one action)

  • More “creator-focused” messaging

📊 Early learnings

  • Simplicity > features (every time)

  • People don’t care about “AI”, they care about saving time

What’s next?

  • Batch extraction from multiple URLs

  • Better frame ranking (more “viral-ready” shots)

  • Enhance and upscale images automatically

Would love your feedback 🙌

Always happy to return feedback on your projects too!
