Hey guys,
I've recently made some updates to the landing page for Designfly.io, and I would greatly appreciate your feedback.
The new version is now much simpler and easier to navigate after removing more than half of the content. My goal with this update was to create a landing page that gets straight to the point, without overwhelming you with unnecessary information.
I'm really curious to know what you all think when you visit the page. Does it feel trustworthy to you?
Thank you so much for your support!
Yes, it does feel trustworthy. What's not clear is what happens after I pay the $1,000. Will you get in touch with me? Will I receive access to something? How do we start working? Also, am I hiring a freelance designer or someone who is more like an in-house team?
It does look straightforward and it gets me hooked, but I kind of have these questions and it's not 100% clear.
Hope this feedback helps and makes sense! Otherwise, it looks great and kudos for taking this kind of new approach!
I removed more than 50% of the content from the page because I felt it was too much information explaining how everything works, all of your questions are answered in the FAQ section. I'm trying to find the perfect balance of simplicity and clarity. Thanks for your feedback, it's helping me to know what to focus on.
I understand that and it's not always a bad decision, but here are the main facts:
No matter what, you need to explain to people the what, the who, and the why. How you do it and how much content you use is up to you. But all three questions must be answered as clear as possible. Not as much as possible.
FAQs are nice but you don't answer the what, who, and why in the FAQs. You merely clarify some secondary details that might influence the decision-making. It's like you're cleaning but stuffing the dirt under the rug, right? :D
In your case, the what is not exactly clear and this leads to those questions being raised in the prospect's mind. The why is good - you're eliminating common problems with design work, the who is also clear, but the what is the thing you're actually selling, so make it more easy to understand.
Really hope I'm helping here! Good luck. :))
Thank you! Your feedback was very helpful and played a key role in this latest update. I added an illustration that clarifies the "what" and even the "how" along with a testimonial. Would love for you to take another look and give me your second opinion.
That's awesome, happy to help!
Now we're talking. Love the graphic, puts the whole thing into context paired with the testimonial. Great idea!
Hope it works better, I'd love to hear your results in a few weeks/months. :)
Sweet, thanks for your help! I've onboarded 3 clients since the update and am seeing an increase in demos being scheduled, I had to limit my availability. You can follow and track our MRR (Stripe verified) here if you'd like: https://www.indiehackers.com/product/designfly
Wohoo, that's awesome to hear! Appreciate you sharing that, I followed the page and I'm excited to follow your growth!
Thanks for the support!
I think the landing page looks good, the copy is a bit too "thin". There's not too much info on what you do and what's your expertise/portfolio.
Also, those "unlimited" services are usually known for being slow or low quality, you should provide some proof that you can deliver quickly and high quality products.
Thanks for the feedback! I removed most of the content because I felt it was too wordy and overwhelming. I've started to get more conversions with a simpler page, but still agree with what you said. I've added a new illustration that explains the process and a testimonial from a client that mentions your exact pain point. Would love for you to take another look and give me your second opinion on the changes.
I agree with @imafikus and @MikeSavoff in the comment section. Here are a few other things you should consider:
Typo Correction: I noticed a minor typo - "enlesss" instead of "endless." It would be best to rectify this to maintain a professional appearance.
Clarify Crossed-Out Words Section: The section where certain words are crossed out appears random and could be presented in a clearer manner. Consider adding a header or title to provide context and improve the overall presentation.
Highlight the Ability to Book a Demo: To address the ambiguity mentioned in the comment section and build trust, it's crucial to prominently feature the option to book a demo. This way, users will have a clearer understanding of the value proposition and know exactly what to expect. But in reality, users shouldn't have to book a demo to find that out in the first place. Your value proposition should be straightforward.
All-in-all, there are a few areas that could benefit from clarification and enhancement. Sorry for nitpicking and sounding harsh, but if you take the suggestions in the comment section into account it will help optimize your landing page, enhancing clarity, professionalism, and user experience.
I wish you the best and all the success that comes with that :)
Thanks so much for your feedback! You helped me catch that typo right away, so thanks for that - that's what I get for making late-night edits while half asleep lol
I've been thinking of creating an animation that crosses the words out as you scroll, I feel like this will better communicate the idea. What do you think?
I added a fixed button to schedule a demo on the corner of the screen, gonna test it out for a while.
I've made a couple of updates to the site including adding a new illustration and testimonial, would love for you to take another look and let me know your second thoughts.
Hey I think the page looks very nice! π It is also very clear what you are offering. π
I think the button in the top right is a bit confusing because I expected to be able to hold it and move it to unlock something like a toggle button! π€·ββοΈ
Another thing on the business side is I am wondering how will you mitigate churn rate. I think most startups will subscribe for one month, destroy you with 3-5 - 3 day requests (like do website design + change requests, do product mockup adjustments + change requests + logo design + change requests) and then churn at the end of the month. π¬
Just something to be mindful of, as it can impact your growth. You probably have an answer to this, but from scanning the website, it wasn't clear to me! π
Thanks for taking a look! The "Let's Chat" button is something new I'm testing to see if it increases scheduled demos at all. As far as churn rate, that totally fine! That's what this service is built for, it's really simple to get good design fast at a good rate. The 3 business day delivery is for only one request at a time, so getting overwhelmed with work isn't an issue yet, and when it does you'll know this when the price starts increasing. π
I would change your CTA button to something more tangible and direct like "Submit Your First Project"
Something to ponder on, thanks for the feedback!
I'm not a fan of animated background and neon yellowish/greenish text. Also carousel has a really weird behavior while scrolling. Whole scroll behavior in general feels weird.
Apart from that, I kinda don't know what I'm getting with your plan, since on the first glance, I have no idea how design queue works, and what is a valid request.
Hope this helps, cheers!
Thanks for your feedback! I removed a lot of content because I felt it was too wordy and overwhelming. I've created a new illustration that I feel communicates visually how the service works, and what a valid request is. Would love for you to take a second look and give me your feedback.
I like how you use font and color. It's quite unique. However, I think you may need to add something that differentiate you from the other desginers. Hope this helpful!. If you'd like to, can you feedback my landing page as well? www.kaikul.com
Thanks for your feedback! I've been playing with a few different themes and have arrived at the space theme, I might throw some aliens or UFO's on there but it's a challenge not to make it look cheezy.
I think your landing page looks great! It has a strong, contextual hero shot and supporting imagery. The call to action is clear and focused. You have outlined the features and benefits of your product with emphasis on the latter. You have also included testimonials and other forms of social proof which can help build trust with visitors and increase conversions. Great job!π
Appreciate you taking a look, I've actually removed the testimonial section since we only have one so far. I was hoping the Product Hunt badge would help serve as some social proof instead, did you feel this when you saw it?
I assume you mean the Featured on Product hunt ? It took me a little to find that. Nonetheless, I still think a few testimonials would work well once you get them :)
