What problem would an app solve?
UX. The website is more than ok on a desktop but falls down on mobile. Whilst it’s a website built for “hackers”, it wouldn’t hurt to be able to post seamlessly by adding images etc without having to use markdown. This could all be cleaned up with an app too
I would happily pay a few dollars a month to have the improved UX of an app but it sounds like not everyone would, hence why I asked the question.

meh 😒 i’d unlikely use an app, website does the job it’s pretty simple and mobile friendly, i get enough notifications in my day i wouldn’t want indiehackers taking up even more attention
i wouldn’t pay to use it, but would try a free app. because why not if it existed. just seems like you’ll be chasing features on the web as courtland iterates and adds new features. seems like wasted time and effort to me

IDK the details but that app is basically a reader atm.
It's a "fan-made" application and doesn't provide login, comment and upvote features.
As a side note, even I'd like to have an app, I wouldn't pay for it.
Fun fact, I actually pitched the idea for an IH app to Courtland Allen. Don't know if he ever read the email, I never got a response.
