US Company Selling Products & Services Overseas?

Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I have a software product that could either be hosted as a SaaS or sold per copy as a B2B sale.

I've been approached by an Irish company looking to either license my product. I've been trying to figure out the mechanics of a US company trying to sell into Ireland specifically but more generally globally.

Is this something I should worry about or just go forth?

Does anyone have any resources they could share about how to navigate this process?

First - congrats on the recognition of your product.
In regards to how to go about it - I'd suggest to get familiar with Digital Rights Management in general and selling software online in particular. There is a lot of resources on the internet, here are a few:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_rights_management
    https://www.termsfeed.com/blog/legal-agreements-digital-products/
You may consider using a platform to sell - they will take care of all "legalize" (of course, you will pay some fee for that, which will reduce your income). Take a look here: https://sell-saas.com/resell-digital-products
If you prefer to do it yourself - consider hiring a DRM attorney; I know many IH'ers may cringe at that suggestion, but you need a professional to examine your contract, right?
    Best of luck!
