Marcus developed a landing page for his 7-day email course that teaches SEO to beginners. He worked hard to craft landing page elements like the headline, subheadline, call to action, visual image, testimonials, etc. Yet, Marcus was not satisfied with the law conversion rate.
Marcus was frustrated. He analyzed 100s of landing pages of famous start-ups and realized one strange pattern of Fear.
Usually, Visitor doesn’t respond to CTA because of their fears or concerns.
What if I will get too much spam?
What if my credit card details got misused?
What if there are tons of hidden charges?
these landing pages explicitly mention this concern of users and assure them that
They will not spam or
The free trial does not require a credit card at all or
There isn’t any hidden charge, etc.
He realized that because of this issue of Fear or Concern visitor is not responding to the CTA of a well-crafted landing page. He used this fear to build trust. He explicitly mentioned that he doesn't spam below his CTA. This small change in the landing page rewarded Marcus with a huge increase in conversion rate. Because explicitly mentioning this concern gives the visitor relief and motivates them to take action as there is no excuse for spam.

CreditCard Concern
