Hi everyone,
I run https://www.sendapostcardonline.com?cc=indiehacker
I'm trying to build the easiest way to send a postcard to someone, and I'm looking for feedback. If you use the link above, you can send a postcard to anywhere/anyone in the US for free.
My only ask is you drop some feedback so I can continue improving the product. I am trying to determine whether or not this product is ready to start growing or if I should continue building out the product to make it easier to use.
The postcard app is a great idea! Pretty easy to use and a nice way to send a quick personal card. I had some trouble with the photos though. Sometimes when I would try a photo, it wouldn't show up on the card so I had to press change and re-pick it. Better support for vertical pictures would be helpful. I usually use post-a-gram so it was cool getting to try this. This app was nice because the picture is large, but that makes the vertical photos a little harder to adjust. If I could download it as an app then I would be more likely to use it often. Overall, I enjoyed using it and would use it again in the future.
Hey Reza, I just used it.
I thought the process of editing the postcard was super intuitive and easy to use. I also liked how you matched up the editing with the places the text would appear (so it felt like you were filling out a physical postcard).
I was a little confused by the flow because I went to sign up and didn't see an option. I saw the message you left about being able to create a postcard without signing up, so I did that, but seems like just to keep from confusing people it couldn't hurt to give them the option to sign up first.
A more businessy comment: right now you're focused on the functionality of sending a postcard. It might be more effective if you identify a particular use case where people would want to send one and then focus all the content around that. But just a thought.
The site seems to be easy to use. The look can be a bit more polished.
Is there a big enough market for sending physical post card? How did you validate this market? Just curious.
I just tried sending on my iPhone and I couldn’t get it so the images weren’t stretched out. I’ll give it a go later on desktop.
Hi Shane, thanks for giving it a shot. I'm surprised you ran into that issue.
Can you tell me more about the images you used? Or you can email them to me privately support@sendapostcardonline.com so I can add it as a test case to ensure the images render properly.
This is a major insight, thanks!
