Users signing up but no activity

I have users signing up but there has been no activity.

Close to 20 people have but none have moved past account creation. I included a small 3 step walk through as well but still no change. What should I try? Fill up the screen with dummy data? Make it necessary for the users to act out the walk through?

Reach out to those 20 people and ASK them!

Doing that. Only 3-4 people are replying back but unfortunately they were just curious with no need of using the product.

Any blogs/articles that can help with choosing the right questions for feedback?

This. :) It’s easy and will get you immediate, valuable feedback.

Agreed, this is the best opportunity to get genuine user feedback!

Hey Himanshu, you could try using a tool like FullStory or HotJar to record user sessions. This can help surface any big hangups that your users are facing. I believe both of these tools have free plans that you'd fit into.

If you don't spot any issues after watching sessions, then it might be that your users are confused on what to do next. If they don't know what to do next, then they'll likely bounce. Adding a screencast video (Loom is great for recording these) that shows how to get rolling with the product can help with this.

I have been using hotjar and recording the sessions but that is only on the landing page. I overlooked this. I should install it on the sub domain as well. Thanks for reminding me about this blunder. :)

If you don't have any luck getting people to provide good feedback, then ben is right, something like hotjar or fullstory would make it easier to identify the breakpoints in your onboarding experience.

You're right. I shouldn't just use Hotjar on the landing page like I am currently doing. I am gonna install it on the sub domain as well.

Users are curious . If they don't see the AHA moment at once you lost them. https://customer.io/blog/finding-aha-moment/
