Using Fiverr to promote SaaS

Today I browse fiverr and I saw an opportunity to sell SaaS or at least getting early user. Let's say you sell podcast recording software, in fiverr you can create offer "I will give honest feedback & review on your podcast, plus giveaway free 3 month podcast recording software".

Maybe you only charge $5 for quick feedback, but it's amazing opportunity to connect with your targeted audience, and if they love your software, they might extend their subscription.

what do you think ?

This sounds like a great idea. Infact, there are many advantages to this other than initial customers:

    • You can find the customer segment that is most interested in your product. This is very valuable.
    • Since this might not be your long term strategy, you can still get feedback from customer and iterate.
    • Free customer interviews. Then they connect with you in Fiverr, most of the times they are going to ask your questions, this will help you get to know your customers.

Do for it. Even we are planning to do this for reviewhornet.com :)

I think it can be good to validate some ideas, but I don't think it is a scalable method.

Yes, it’s not scalable, but I will try it to get early users. Btw, are you indonesian?

I think this will be a failure.

Can you tell me the reason?

Marketing is not something that success is easily managed on a outsource basis with contractors or freelancers. About 99% of SaaS gets early customers by the founders rolling up the sleeves and doing cold outreach. Top Growth Managers discuss the early days and while each has a story that is individual, each used cold outreach. Three exceptions to the rule (1) Organic via content marketing (2) Build a huge audience in a newsletter (3) Use a service like appsumo. Furthermore, most freelancers are copy-cat workers, reading advice somewhere on the internet and charging you to try this. My suggestion, get a marketing coach, this can be sourced at about $500 a month ( https://www.growthmentor.com/ ). Read this book: Traction by Gabriel Weinberg before you start. Everything is a test. You test many ideas all month long, keep data and look for success patterns. Some test more than 30 ideas before they find something. Keep this in mind : Product to channel fit.

Sorry, but I think you don’t get what I mean with using fiverr to get early users. Please read carefully, I don’t say outsource marketing to fiverr freelancer, but becoming freelancer on fiverr to get early user.
