Using GPT-4 and Makerkit SaaS framework to launch an MVP in 2 days

Hey IH!

I recently built and launched the latest GPT-4 powered version of my marketing tool, Superlines.io, in just two days! As someone who's a bit of a generalist with coding skills, I find working with generative AI to be super empowering.

I started with a super cool SaaS framework Makerkit.dev (I've also used Gravity and Serverless SaaS previously), let GPT-4 read the documentation and then gave spesific commands on building the features I want for my MVP. Using a framework like Makerkit.dev saves a ton of time, and when you throw AI into the mix, it's a game-changer.

Here's the secret sauce for all generalists out there:

Use existing frameworks to kickstart your project

There's no need to reinvent the wheel. Pay a bit of money and use a SaaS framework like Makerkit.dev, or go with an open-source starter, to build the foundation of your app quickly. Start extending the framework with AI, and then if the robot gets crampy, you can ask for support from the framework community on Slack, Discord etc.). Real human beings are still handy from time-to-time!

Leverage AI to create tailored content for marketing

Don't know how to market your product? No worries, you can also feed your business-specific data (keywords, target audience, objectives etc.) to GPT-4 and start creating your first blogs and landing pages. For example, I have a marketing background but nowadays I let the AI read my brand guidelines, customer feedback, and tone-of-voice examples and build the starting point for any content on my sites. This way, the AI-generated content has depth and connects with the audience.

Imo when working with GPT4, it's all about knowing the right questions to ask. So many people focus on how intelligent AI's answers are, but the questions drive the creative process. So, it's all about how you use the tool. Mastering AI capabilities and making it work for your goals is key to unlocking its full potential.
