Using Live Streaming as Time Efficient Marketing

Hi everyone! I am currently building AgencyAI.gg, a platform that provides a user interface for multi-agent AI systems. In this article, I'll share my journey of developing this project thus far, focusing on the challenges, innovations, and my marketing strategies, especially through live streaming. My aim is to provide insights that can be valuable to other creators in our community.

  1. The Genesis of AgencyAI.gg
My project, AgencyAI.gg, started as an ambitious endeavor to create an intuitive UI for multi-agent AI systems so that non-developers can build their own multi-agent solutions. The idea was to make something not just functional but also user-friendly, catering to those who wish to experiment with multi-agent systems without delving deep into complex coding.

  2. Prototyping in Private
The past few weeks have been a grind, with a strong sense of urgency. My marketing skills are weak, and having nothing to show at the beginning, I found it hard to get myself to build a waiting list, essentially launching without a prototype. So, instead, I chose to focus on an MVP, and to launch it as quickly as possible, thinking, once I have something tangible, it will be easier to do marketing.

  3. Live Streaming is Easy
I have done some live streaming before this project, and I plan to use live streaming as part of my marketing strategy. I stream when I feel most inspired, making these sessions more like "show and tell". This approach suits the spontaneous nature of live streaming, allowing for real-time interaction and feedback. I believe in ending streams naturally, once I feel the key points have been communicated effectively. This keeps the streams somewhat focused, but they will still be less focused than short clips or YouTube videos. It's a raw stream of consciousness, but like free form writing, the product needs revision. Because of reduced need for preparation before starting stream, this makes for a good use of time, and it creates a good base of raw material to be further processed into more refined marketing material.

  4. Leveraging Transcriptions for Wider Reach
Recognizing that not everyone has the time or inclination to watch long-form content, I've started transcribing my streams. Using tools like ffmpeg and Whisper, I convert these sessions into text, and then revise the content into a more accessible form. This strategy not only reaches a wider audience but also caters to different content consumption preferences. You can ask ChatGPT to help you setup this work flow. It is free and easy to do.

  5. Writing for Indie Hackers and Other Communities
Using my transcripts, and aided by ChatGPT to digest it, I have begun crafting articles for communities like Indie Hackers and Reddit. These articles are tailored to the interests of each community, focusing on aspects like the entrepreneurial journey, technical insights, and practical lessons from building AgencyAI.gg.

Conclusion

So far, building AgencyAI.gg in public has been a journey of learning, adapting, and innovating. I hope my experiences and strategies inspire fellow indie hackers, giving you ideas on how you can improve your work flows and use your time better to reach a wider audience ☺️
