Using the Zero One ring to reconnect with my grandfather

My grandfather can talk for three hours straight over lunch.

Religion, politics, whichever philosopher he's been rereading that week. He is one of the most well read people I know, and he does all of it in French.

My French isn't what it used to be... 😅 (despite me being half french)

So for years my side of those lunches has been nodding. Catching maybe every third sentence, smiling in the right places, then finally saying something that was two topics behind. I love my Papi but I really couldn't keep up with him anymore, and ngl I think he knew it!
