UX advice: What do you think about this admin design?

Based on feedback from IndieHackers, I've been working on adding templates/examples to commitcheck.com admin panel.

CommitCheck requires users to enter a regex that will match against commits messages. I want to make it easier for users to choose a regex. Here is my first mockup, feedback greatly appreciated 🙏

• The user can enter a regex in the input box or use the dropdown
• When the user chooses a template from the dropdown it will replace the contents of the input box with a new regex
• The user can then hit 'submit' at the bottom of the page when they are happy
