Validate before building? Whoops! Roast my AI App

I build a lot of side projects, and I always keep track of To-Do's in the margins or in markdown files in my projects. I wanted a "scratch-pad" style site where I could track To-Do's, describe blockers, and generally monitor my work without the overhead of a full-blown Jira/Linear setup. Free. Can even use it anonymously.

Also, I couldn't help myself from sprinkling some project-aware AI onto that to help guide me.

Check it out 👉 https://feature-reacher.com/

It's not quite ready for the launch yet, but it is ready for a proper IndieHackers roasting. Let me know what you think! Don't hold back!

I really like how it works straight out of the box. However, I think it needs some work so someone can figure out what it does right away

That's good feedback. Thanks for checking it out.

I tried your site and I am confused on exactly what it does or who its for or how I benefit from it. Would really look into those three areas

That's fair. Maybe a landing page before entering the site would help explain the utility.

I like that the page is loading & reloading fast.

I created a test task but deleting a task does not work. Seems to be a bug?

One thing that would help people to get started: you could highlight the "create task" button as the primary action. Now there are multiple buttons competing for attention, making it hard to start somewhere.

I would also have liked to see a screenshot somewhere of how it looks like to understand the product better. I saw the video, but the screenshot would help me to have certainty that it is worth to watch the video.

I usually skip the video and prefer to try on my own, but thats just my "persona".

That is all really great advice. Thank you! A screenshot with some description would be really helpful when first landing on the site. Also, highlighting the Create Task option is a really great point. Thanks @MachAlex
