Hey indiehackers.
I want to know what y'all think of this idea of mine. I call it pareto (the 80/20 law pareto), and its goal is to help you initialize your new project as close to production ready as possible. This includes:
Similar services that I encountered in the wild are https://amplication.com (in js land) and https://quickadminpanel.com/ (in php land). There are also popular SaaS starters like https://supastarter.dev & https://shipfa.st
How is pareto different?
Judging from the popularity existing solutions, I think pareto might be very popular, but I want to hear from you: if this project existed today, would you use it? how frequently? what are your expectations? How much is it worth to you (time/money)?
I plan to start working on it soon and launch gradually (I will support 1 popular stack fully and then work on more pieces as the time goes).
I hacked together this simple landing page https://pareto-web-app.vercel.app to give y'all idea, if you can spare a few more moments, I would like your suggestions on how best to structure it to sell the product's value.
Monetization:
To support me in development stage, I'm thinking about relying on sponsorships (github, buymeacoffee, patreon, ...etc), what do you think? I live in Sudan so my monetary threshold is very low.
The monetization model for the final product is not set in stone yet, and I guess it's very early to decide as the project is yet to reach even alpha. But if you want to provide suggestions, I will be happy to hear from you.
For context, here's how some similar projects monetize:
Great Idea!
I think this is a great idea! I would definitely use something like this, and with the recent boilerplate hype I think your idea is already validated. If I were you, I'd put a signup link on your landing page and maybe snazz it up a little. Drop that sucker on Product Hunt and gauge the interest. Maybe even offer a discount via coupon or prepay. LMK if you are looking for help! Otherwise keep us updated, I would definitely sign up :)
