Validate my idea - client feedback dashboard

Hey everyone, I'm currently developing my first SaaS product focusing on helping local businesses (or any business) get a better insight on the feedback from their clients and customers.

The MVP will include two main functions:

  1. Design your own testimonial section, based on the reviews you've gathered so far. Reviews will be obtained from google, facebook, and yelp (have to provide your API key). You can then embed your testimonial onto your web page via easy iframes.

The problem this solves is that, many businesses even neglect having testimonials, because it's quite cumbersome to get them. Even if they have reviews on google, they have no idea where to start. How do I get those reviews, and how do I add them onto my page?

This could also help free lance developers easily add a testimonial page onto their clients websites.

The future will have widgets for shopify & wordpress for easier integration.

  1. Feedback analysis from various sources. Find out what people are saying on google, yelp and facebook, and analyze that data. Show a timeline of when the reviews happened, so you can easily identify key events that caused a certain trend of reviews to happen. This is basically gathering all the reviews you currently have, and showing them in various different ways.

This also includes using search aggregation to get word clouds. Find common themes, phrases and words people are saying about your business.

I'm really curious to see what you guys think of this product. I'll be developing it all the way regardless, because it's great experience anyways (for developing, marketing, branding etc.).

Thanks guys!

I can see some value here. I think you might face challenges with adoption and selling the value only because it seems a lot of businesses are hesitant to adopt yet another network/solution.

Selling it as "Google analytics for customer reviews" might help. In that theme, providing a timeline of reviews, as you said, is a good idea. I'm thinking of a mid-sized retail business with multiple locations, that would see value in a timeline of reviews for each location allowing a regional manager to identify improving/declining customer service at each location.

    Hope that helps,
