Validate: Quora / Kaggle for business professionals

I used to manage a team of Business Analysts & MBAs. One of the things that they found valuable in sharpening their skillsets is the Harvard-style case discussions. [1] This is currently available for the privileged few, i.e. if you study or work at top business schools and/or management consulting firms.

I had an idea to build a Quora-style community where folks can engage in these discussions and upvote each other's comments. In addition, they can also share their latest business writing and/or whitepaper. In other words, this will become a business competition platform.

Participants get (a) points for quantity and quality of contributions (b) skills from engaging with like-minded community

Potential employers get (a) visibility of one's thought process >> this is a time consuming part during interviews... Just like if I'm a software engineering interviewer, one's Github gives me a sense of where they're at.

Finally, there are small/medium businesses that can benefit from broader perspective on their business problem. Kinda like, "let's have a second opinion, but we don't really want to hire a consulting firm for these problems."

Monetization, later on, can come from:

1. Job board (employer paying)
2. Sponsored questions / projects
3. Creating courses (a la Ramit Sethi)
4. Members career coaching (a la https://www.themuse.com/coaching)
5. Companies hiring experts on the platform (a la https://www.codementor.io/python-experts)

Would appreciate your feedback on this idea. Theoretically it makes sense. For some reason, my wife--who's quite an accomplished Product Manager--thinks that this is kinda wacky...
