Validated my idea with Reddit and gave up.

We use the YoutubeKids application on the iPhone, iPad and AppleTV because such a variety of different video libraries are nowhere to be found.

The application is a YoutubeKids video management system that is managed by parents and can remotely intervene in realtime.

I would like to find solutions based on my own problems.
Also, YoutubeKids, which I see in my friends' children and my son, has formed a habit. They close different applications and open YoutubeKids applications or they want.

Even though YoutubeKids is not harmful, it is exposed to videos that parents do not want many times.
E.g; I think the Halloween week YoutubeKids recommended videos were horrible.

The parent takes the phone from the child's hand to change the harmful video and blocks the video and the channel. However, the same videos may appear on other channels as well.

How will I solve it?

Parents will be able to subscription of the video channels that their child wants to watch on normal YouTube. Sufficient subscription. In the application, we will ensure that children watch videos consisting of only those channels. E.g; PostmanPat will subscription the BabyTv channel so that the child can only watch videos on the PostmanPat and BabyTv channels.

I learned that the features I wrote above are also available on YoutubeKids by writing an idea story on Reddit. I'm pleased.

Parents will be able to instantly see what their child is watching from the web or app and interfere with the video. So your child will not need to take the device out of his hand. No conflict.

The application is highly requested to have a screen lock feature.

The following features are not available on YoutubeKids. I would be glad if you share your ideas.

Directly messaging people on Reddit is an insanely powerful way to validate ideas IMO. I also talked about how I gave on an idea thanks to Reddit in another IH post.

Definitely continue posting about what you're building on Reddit (you could even DM other parents with the same problem). You might just find some fresh inspiration.

I like telling stories instead of DM. Public, transparent and discussion environment. I would like to do more. However, has a strong competitor.

I have made a similar costume for my Halloween event. I got help from lewissfifthfloor platform.

You can screen lock Apple devices already - specifically for this type of purpose.

I do agree about the content issue as my kids will often get into a certain pattern based on what is suggested...

    Why did you give up?

The app I will make is already made by YouTubeKids.
I thought I'd force it to convince people.
