Validating a new SaaS app

I'm going to be working on validating an idea for a new SaaS business. It's an app that provides a simple way for teams to provide status updates and visualize them in a calendar/table view.

It's a similar concept to iDoneThis and other simple tools that offer status tracking unbundled from larger project tools. It's actually an internal tool I used to solve my own problem in the past.

I'm not going to add much more for now since I'm focusing on trying to learn what kind of business I could build in this space (as a side project). Planning to share it out, and drive some traffic and usage.
