Validating before building: Simple invoicing for freelance devs

Hey IH,

I'm trying to validate an idea before I spend time building it.

## The Problem

I'm a freelance developer. Every month I spend around 6 hours on:

- Tracking time manually in spreadsheets

- Copying data into Word invoice templates

- Converting to PDF

- Emailing and following up on payments

That's basically a full work day per month just on admin.

## What I'm Thinking of Building

Something extremely minimal:

1. Timer - Start/stop per client, automatic tracking

2. Invoice generator - PDF in 30 seconds with legal requirements

3. Dashboard - Monthly hours + revenue stats

That's it. No project management, no team features, no bells and whistles.

## Target Market

Freelance developers and IT consultants who bill hourly. Starting with English-speaking markets but planning to add multi-language support based on demand.

## Business Model

- Free: 3 clients max, 10 invoices/year

- Pro: $15/month unlimited everything

## Tech Stack (if I build)

React Native + Supabase + Stripe

Could ship MVP in 7 days.

## What I Need From You

I made a landing page: https://timeflow0.netlify.app/

My questions:

1. Is this a real problem or am I just bad at organizing?

2. What do you use currently for this?

3. Would you pay $15/month for something this simple?

4. What am I missing that could kill this idea?

I know tools like Toggl and Harvest exist, but they're either too expensive or have way too many features. I'm trying to build something laser-focused on these three core needs.

Any honest feedback is gold. Even "this won't work because X" helps me avoid wasting time.

Thanks for reading.

Current status: Landing page live, collecting emails via Google Form

Next step: If I get 20+ interested emails in 48h, I'll start building
