Validating "Drop": The 1-Tap Flash Sale Tool for Creators

The Problem

Setting up a full Stan Store or a Shopify instance is an annoying, friction-filled nightmare for creators who just want to sell a single asset—like a PDF, a guide, or a wallpaper pack—for a limited 48-hour window. Traditional e-commerce setups require too many steps for both the creator and the buyer. In the digital product space, friction is the ultimate conversion killer.

The Solution: Drop

I am building Drop, an ultra-minimalist landing page engine built exclusively for countdown-style product drops. It’s designed to bypass the bloat of traditional storefronts completely.

The workflow is intentionally stripped back:

  • No Shopify, No Stan Store. Just one single link.
  • Scarcity by design: Set a price and a countdown timer. Once the clock hits zero, the page automatically self-destructs or changes the price.
  • 1-Tap Checkout: Built-in Apple Pay and Google Pay integration to make the buying process completely frictionless.

The Viral Hook

The link automatically self-destructs. By removing the permanence of the page, it automates the psychological trigger of extreme urgency (FOMO) that creators normally have to manage manually.

Seeking Feedback from the IH Community

I’m currently in the validation phase and would love your honest, raw feedback:

  1. Is the "self-destruct" mechanic something you would use for your own digital products, or does it feel too aggressive?
  2. Would the lack of a permanent storefront be a dealbreaker, or is the single-purpose simplicity a major selling point?
  3. What feature is absolutely critical to make this a no-brainer for a quick weekend drop?

If this sounds like something you need, drop your thoughts below. I'm building this in public and would love to hear your insights!
