Validating with a functional prototype

Earlier this year when everything was shut down I started playing with database apps (airtable, monday.com, coda, notion) but was disappointed in their mobile experiences. Editing a table on mobile is rough.

I know, I know, successful businesses generally look for customers before they start building, but to be fair I didn't think I'd actually release this.

The app was getting to the point where the backlog was only "nice to haves" and I hadn’t actually validated that a build-your-own productivity app would be successful as a mobile app.

That’s why I’m here. I have a prototype that is in the App Store. I’m not advertising that just yet while I figure out who my customers are 😅. For the time being I’m less worried about paying customers and more focused with DAU.

How would you suggest I validate this?
