Below is an in detail break down of the app functionality:
- Use the pannable map or search bar to select a country of your choice.
2.The user will be presented with a list of the top-tourist attractions/destinations in that particular country. Links to Google map coordinates and TripAdvisor Reviews for each attraction will be displayed on the information card.
3.Press the "Show nearest attractions" button to sort the list of attractions by travel time/ETA. If you are on the country page you're currently located in, the sort will take place based on your current location while for other countries you will be prompted to enter a city/locality from which the sort needs to happen.

What do you guys think about the product? Would it be more practical to have the attraction lists at a city level?
The problem with your site is that nobody knows what to do when they get to your site. I knew what to do, because you explained it, but what about someone else? I always like to think of an an old person, like your grandmother, using a certain product.

Have you heard of 'personas' before? It's a term used by UX developers to imagine what a user might be like, are they old? grumpy? young? distracted? then once you have dones a persona, you can do a "user journey" and go through an ENTIRE day of a user, when do they use your app, on what device, on the bus? at night? during the day? at work on a computer?
You will find a lot of solutions to problems you didn't even know you had.
It requires some fun, imagination and writing.

Thanks for the feedback! Here's my take on your points:
it needs to be simple - yours is too simple - fair point, that is exactly how it was intended to be and why people might use this over other available alternatives!
it needs to be intuitive - yours is neither - might consider incorporating an instructions screen for first time users. Couple of users who were introduced to the website were like "What do I do with the map?"
it needs to fulfill a need - what need does this fulfill - Did you even try the product?! It clearly does what the title says, in the most straight-forward and simplest manner!

Is it just a tripAdvisor aggregator?
definitely not!
Why I would use travelperi over just searching "attractions" on Google Maps?
Did you try out TravelPeri? The lists in TravelPeri are curated and manually checked while you simply cannot sort the whole list at once by ETA in Google maps . Each listing has a link to it's TripAdvisor page while we may include a custom page for each tourist attraction in the future.
I tried using it for Netherlands, but I get "Still compiling list".
I personally don't use TripAdvisor so that provides no extra benefit for me and on Maps I do somewhat rely on the ratings given by other users. Also for ETA I usually just search attractions on maps and can visually estimate which are close and which are far. I also consider the ratings on Maps to somewhat "curate" the attractions or even assume that Google might know what attractions I like based on the previous ones I visited.
I do like though the idea of having a way to quickly see what attractions I can visit near me, especially if I can see at a glance what exactly the attractions are and why I should visit them.
Sorry about Netherlands - still not finalized the list.
From my own experience most people do not use Google maps for this purpose, but rely on sites like TripAdvisor or other blog posts/articles that recommend "bucket-list" attractions. Google Trips is more suited for this purpose.
What I've tried to do with TravelPeri is just to provide concise lists with added map functionalities... more like a hybrid between a trip review site and google maps.
